Manmohan Singh cheers for India in hockey

NEW DELHI - Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Thursday cheered the Indian team in the Commonwealth Games hockey final against Australia here.

The prime minister arrived at the packed Major Dhayan Chand National Stadium at the start of the match and took a seat in the VIP stand along with many hockey greats.

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Home Minister P. Chidambaram, Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal and CWG Organising Committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi were also present at the venue.
