NEW DELHI - With Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and Commonwealth Games Organising Committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi trading charges publicly over alleged CWG corruption, the Congress Monday advised them to maintain restraint.

The party also said the committee appointed by the government should be allowed to do its work.

“We would like everybody to observe restraint so that the statutory body can discharge its responsibility,” Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari told reporters here.

Kalmadi hit back at Dikshit Sunday for casting aspersions on the Organising Committee, saying this was “disappointing” and “uncalled for.”

Dikshit had stated that the needle of suspicion regarding alleged corruption in the Games pointed to the Organising Committee which had got a loan from the state government.
