NEW DELHI - A team of the Comptroller and Auditor General’s (CAG) office would Thursday visit Delhi Secretariat, the seat of the Delhi government, to look into the papers of various departments related to the Commonwealth Games.

According to a government source, the team comprising five-six members will scrutinise the files of the departments of transport, public works, health and horticulture, among others, related to the mega sports event.

The CAG team has so far inquired into the files regarding construction works by other stakeholders like the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) and the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).

The CAG will complete an official, confidential audit of the accounts and financial activities related to the Games within 90 days and present it to parliament immediately thereafter.
