Hewitts cash in on newborn’s name

SYDNEY - Former ace tennis player Lleyton Hewitt and his pop singer wife Bec announced the name of their third child; and they charged for that too-a two dollar premium SMS fee.
The couple, which recently had their third child, used ‘text a star’ service to cash in on their child’s birth.
“We’ve finally decided on a name for Mia and Cruz’s baby sister,” the message said Ava Sydney Hewitt. We love being a little family of 5. Thanks, Lleyton,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted the message that subscribers received.
It is unclear how much the Hewitts profit from the premium text service they used to announce the name. But Ryan Berman from ‘Text A Star’ said that stars earn the least while the maximum go to the telecommunications carriers.
Hewitts are not the first celebrities to cash in on the birth of their children, however, charging fans to be the first to know their newborn’s name seems to be a new development. (ANI)
