LONDON - Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that his secret dream is to manage Spanish football giants Barcelona.

“I’d have loved to have gone to Barcelona at one time in my life. That would have been a dream,” the Sun quoted Ferguson, as saying.

“Their ideology and philosophy, the whole place is fantastic. But I’m at the same kind of club in terms of vision,” he added.

With 24 years as manager of United, Ferguson is the second-longest serving manager in their history after Sir Matt Busby, while his tenure is the longest of all the current League managers.

During this time, the 68-year-old has won many awards and holds many records including winning Manager of the Year most times in British football history.

In 2008, he became the third British manager to win the European Cup on more than one occasion. (ANI)
