NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com) — After Chris Hughton was sacked from the position of Newcastle manager on Monday, the club appointed Alan Pardew as their new manager.
The dismissal of Hughton from the club who was very expert at his job, indicated that the club will appoint someone with new experience.
West Ham, Charlton and Southampton boss was among the favorites to take over from Chris Hughton. But selection of Pardew came as a shock as he has been out of work since being sacked by Southampton in August. It is believed Pardew became close friends with Newcastle owner Mike Ashley and director Derek Llambias when all three were familiar faces at an exclusive London casino where Llambias was managing director.
