Don King Caught With Ammunition

CLEVELAND (GaeaTimes.com)- Boxing promoter Don King, who is known for his flamboyant lifestyle and his outlandish hairstyle was caught with ammunition in his bag on Monday. The renowned boxing promoter was stopped by the security officials at Cleveland’s Hopkins International Airport while he was boarding the plane for Florida. The security officials said that he was trying to board the plane with ammunition in his hand luggage.
Jackie Mayo, the spokesperson of Cleveland’s Hopkins International Airport said that Don King was stooped by the security officials and ammunition was found in his carry-on luggage. However, Don King’s representative was unavailable for any comments. On the other hand, Jackie Mayo said that the airport authorities confiscated his luggage and ammunition but did not arrest him. Later he was even allowed to board the plane. The media outlets reported that Don King was in Cleveland to attend his wife, Henrietta King’s funeral, who passed away on Thursday after losing her battle with stomach cancer. However, the journalists are still trying to find out why Don King was carrying ammunition in his handbag.
Moreover, Transportation Security Administration also confirmed the news to the media but they did not name the passenger. Don King is also known for his number of run-ins with police. In 1954 Don King shot a man who was trying to rob him. However, later he escaped the punishment as the judge said that it was a justifiable homicide. In 1996 also Don King was convicted of second degree murder, however, the charge was reduced and he served four years in prison. He was also reportedly linked with former New York Mafia boss John Gotti.
