LONDON - Footie ace David Beckham has filed a five-page court statement in which he has denied claims he slept with a prostitute.

Becks, 35, gave a point-by-point description in the statement, and insisted that he was having a late-night massage in his hotel room at the time of the alleged incident with 3,000-pounds-a-night prostitute Irma Nici.

“As is my custom when I arrive at a hotel on a road trip before a match, a massage therapist came to my hotel room within a few hours after I checked in to give me a massage,” the Daily Mail quoted him as writing.

“I recall that the therapist did not leave my hotel room until the very early morning. My security team was with me before, during and after the massage. After the therapist left, I went to sleep.

“I have reviewed the daily logs prepared by my security detail which confirm my recollections,” he wrote in the statement.

In the statement, sent to a Californian court, the former England football captain dismissed claims by Bosnia-born Nici, 26, that he paid her and a friend in cash for sex.

He rubbished the allegations, saying he never carried around large sums of money, and that the only way he could get access to it, is if he asked his management team, which he did not.

Becks then dismissed her claims that they slept together at Claridge’s in London four weeks later, saying that he was visiting his father Ted, who was recovering at the London Chest Hospital after a heart attack.

He added that Nici’s allegations had caused him “severe emotional distress, including extended humiliation, embarrassment, anger and worry”.

“I declare under penalty of perjury under the laws of the United States of America that the foregoing is true and correct,” the document concluded. (ANI)
