Fergie writes off Chelsea’s Premier League title challenge

LONDON - Sir Alex Ferguson has written off Chelsea’s Premier League title chances, by saying that either his Manchester United side or Arsenal will snare the title.
Speaking ahead of the Man U-Chelsea clash at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, Ferguson said: “I think either Arsenal or ourselves will win it.”
United, who were crowned English champions for a record equalling 18th time in 2009, would stretch their lead at the top of the league to four points over Arsenal if they win their game in hand on the Gunners at Wigan on Saturday.
A victory would also take the Red Devils 15 points clear of Chelsea, who do not play this weekend.
Ferguson rejected Terry’s claim earlier this week that United could struggle to deal with the pressure of heading the Premier League table.
He said: “I said some time ago, the team that is most consistent would win the league. That is why I stress that we have to keep our momentum going and get that consistency.” (ANI)
