ABU DHABI - Pakistani fast bowler Tanvir Ahmed has described his six wicket haul in the ongoing second Test against South Africa as a dream come true.

Tanvir finished the first innings of match with the figures of 6-120 off 28 overs, which included the wickets of Graeme Smith, Jacques Kallis, Hashim Amla and Mark Boucher.

“It is like dream come true and I am happy to know that I am among top ten Pakistan bowlers to achieve such a feat on debut,” the News quoted Ahmed, as saying.

“I wanted to take the wicket of AB de Villiers to complete five wickets, but he batted brilliantly,” he added.

The 31-year-old further revealed that he didn’t sleep on the eve of match after being told that he would be making his debut in the match.

“It was a long wait for me, but I learnt a lot during those few months off the field,” Ahmed said.

“I was delighted with the wickets of Kallis and Amla and my mission was to complete five wickets haul on Sunday,” he added. (ANI)
