Steve Mcnair Memorial Service / Funeral Shrouded In Grief

A lot had been said and lots of details have emerged over the past few days since the shocking death of former NFL quarterback Steve McNair. However, his funeral brought along a change in the tide as people lay low all the gossips that had been floating and chose to honor a man who was a great football player. It was the time to remember a great man, a man who had been generous and kind throughout his life.

Thousands of mourning fans flocked to Steve McNair’s Memorial service at Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday, July 9th night. The family members of the McNair household, friends, former teammates and coaches, had all turned up in huge numbers to pay their last respect to the legend.

Fans had been lining up outside the venue of the funeral home since the morning to be able to view Steve McNair’s casket. The casket was kept closed throughout the entire ceremony of the funeral. It was initially kept at the funeral home and later shifted outside of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

A helicopter flying over the venue provided the live coverage of the incident.

The whole incident was shrouded in tragic silence because of the extraordinary circumstance under which the death had occurred. Married Steve McNair was shot to death by his 20 year old girlfriend / mistress Sahel Kazemi, the young woman then shot herself.
