prostitutionLONDON - Police in Britain fear that the 2012 Olympics, which will be hosted in London, may spark a rise in sex workers.

With thousands of spectators, site workers and athletes around, there will be a huge demand for prostitutes, and the chances of sex workers being smuggled in, are huge.

Vice cops have already reported that more and more sex workers are plying their trade around the five Olympic host boroughs in London.

Lynne Abrams of the Met Police Authority said that women’s safety could be affected.

“The risk of damage to the reputation of London and the UK is considerable,” the Sun quoted her as saying. (ANI)
