Riddle’s 326 yards, 4 touchdown passes lead Elon to season-opening 56-0 victory over Davidson

Elon shuts out Davidson 56-0
ELON, N.C. — Scott Riddle threw for 326 yards and four touchdowns to lead Elon to a season-opening 56-0 victory over Davidson on Saturday night.
Elon had 575 yards of total offense and held Davidson to only 104 yards and seven first downs.
Andre Campbell had 1.5 sacks and Brandon Ward had three tackles for loss.
Riddle, who was 22 of 33, threw two touchdown passes to Terrell Hudgins, who had seven catches for 156 yards, one to A.J. Harris and another one to Jeremy Peterson. Backup quarterback Thomas Wilson threw a scoring pass to Aaron Mellette.
Jamal Shuman had 20 carries for 115 yards and another touchdown for Elon.
Davidson had just two first downs and 27 yards of total offense in the first half. The Phoenix had six sacks in the first half.
