Shaw beats Bethune-Cookman 20-6

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Travis Robinson threw for a touchdown and Raymond Williams ran for another as Shaw beat Bethune-Cookman 20-6 on Saturday.

Robinson was 3-of-11 passing for 91 yards and an interception for the Bears (2-0), and Williams rushed for 69 yards.

Shaw’s defense constantly stymied Bethune-Cookman and forced seven turnovers, forcing two fumbles inside the Shaw 10-yard line.

The Wildcats (0-1), a Football Championship Subdivision team, scored their only points with 13:31 remaining on a 12-yard run by Brian Sumlar.

It was only the second meeting between the two schools, and was delayed 29 minutes from the start due to lightning in the area.
