Colorado State edges Weber State 24-23
FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Guy Miller recovered a fumble deep in Colorado State territory with 42 seconds left as the Rams avoided an upset, defeating Weber State 24-23 on Saturday.
Weber State (0-2) had driven to the Colorado State 11. But then Wildcats quarterback Cameron Higgins fumbled the center-quarterback exchange, and Miller fell on the ball to preserve the victory.
Grant Stucker threw for a touchdown and caught a TD pass for Colorado State (2-0). The Rams have not lost to an FCS team since falling to Idaho on Sept. 12, 1992.
