Bucknell beats Georgetown 14-6
LEWISBURG, Pa. — C.J. Hopson ran for two touchdowns to lead Bucknell to a 14-6 win over Georgetown on Saturday.
The Bison (3-2, 1-0 Patriot League) took a 7-6 lead in the third quarter on Hopson’s 2-yard touchdown run.
Georgetown’s Isaiah Kempf was then intercepted early in the fourth by Ankiel White. Bucknell drove 51-yards on 10 plays, capped by Hopson’s 4-yard rushing score to increase the Bison’s lead to eight with 9:06 left to play.
Hopson finished with 101 yards on 21 carries, going 4-for-6 passing for 38 yards.
The Bison extended their home winning streak to four games, their longest since 2001.
Jose-Pablo Buerba made field goals from 41 and 27 yards away for the Hoyas (0-5, 0-3). Kempf was 14-for-27 with 136 yards and two interceptions for Georgetown.
