Grambling knocks off Alabama A&M 41-20
GRAMBLING, La. — Cornelius Walker rushed for 146 yards and one touchdown to lead Grambling to a 41-20 victory over Alabama A&M on Saturday.
Greg Dillon was 13 of 25 for 183 yards and two touchdowns as the Tigers (3-3, 1-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference) rolled up 410 yards of offense.
Grambling pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Bulldogs 17-0 for a 38-13 lead heading into the final quarter.
Ari Johnson kicked a 26-yard field goal, Walker scored on a 26-yard run and Rodale Pippen scored on a 3-yard run on the final play of the quarter.
Pippen also scored on a 10-yard run in the second quarter and finished with 30 yards on four carries.
Alabama A&M (4-2, 1-1) led 10-7 after the first quarter, thanks to Deaunte Mason’s 66-yard touchdown run with 5:26 left.
Mason finished with 122 yards on 11 carries to help the Bulldogs rush for 259 yards.
