Fourroux throws 3 TD passes to lead McNeese State to 51-23 win over Northwestern State

McNeese State defeats Northwestern State 51-23
LAKE CHARLES, La. — Derrick Fourroux threw for 220 yards and three touchdowns to lead McNeese State to a 51-23 victory over Northwestern State on Saturday night.
Fourroux was 15 of 23 and threw scoring passes of 19, 45 and 5 yards as the Cowboys (4-2, 1-1 Southland Conference) snapped a two-game losing streak.
Champlain Babin scored on runs of 30 and 10 yards, and caught a 19-yard scoring pass from Fourroux. Babin finished with 99 yards rushing on 15 carries.
John Hundley threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Bradley Brown and ran for an 11-yard score for Northwestern State (0-6, 0-2), which is off to its worst start since the 1974 team lost 10 consecutive games and finished 1-10.
McNeese State’s Javaris Murray scored on a 19-yard run and defensive tackle Desmund Lighten scored on a 71-yard fumble return, his second of the season.
The Cowboys finished with 465 yards of offense.
