Jackson runs for 3 scores, Devlin passes for 2 TDs in Delaware’s 49-21 romp over Towson

Delaware defeats Towson 49-21
TOWSON, Md. — Leon Jackson ran for three touchdowns and Pat Devlin threw two scoring passes to lead Delaware to a 49-21 victory over Towson on Saturday.
Charles Graves returned an interception 90 yards for a touchdown on the final play of the first half as the Blue Hens (5-2, 3-2 Colonial Athletic Association) rolled to a 49-0 lead en route to its third straight victory.
Delaware’s Jerry Butler opened the second half with an 89-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, setting a school record with his third career return for a score.
Towson (2-4, 1-2) lost quarterback Peter Athens to a leg injury in the first quarter. Tommy Chroninger ran for 97 second-half yards and directed three fourth-quarter scoring drives.
Dominique Booker, Chroninger and Tremayne Dameron ran for touchdowns for the Tigers, who lost for the third time in four games.
