Georgia Southern defeats Chattanooga 30-20
STATESBORO, Ga. — Adam Urbano rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns to lead Georgia Southern to a 30-20 victory over Chattanooga on Saturday.
Urbano scored on runs of 9 and 2 yards to help the Eagles (4-3, 3-1 Southern Conference) end Chattanooga’s three-game winning streak.
His 2-yard scoring run gave Georgia Southern a 20-13 lead with 8:30 left in the third quarter.
Lee Chapple, who was 16 of 24 for 132 yards, threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Sumner for a 27-13 lead and Adrian Mora padded the advantage with a 20-yard field goal, his third of the game.
B.J. Coleman was 23 of 43 for 208 yards and two touchdowns for Chattanooga (4-1, 2-1).
His 32-yard scoring pass to Chris Pitchford tied the score at 7 in the first quarter. Coleman threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Terrance Davis to cut the lead to 30-20 with 1:16 left in the game.
