Falcons RB Norwood out with hip flexor

ATLANTA — Falcons running back Jerious Norwood went out with an injured right hip during the first half of Sunday night’s game against the Chicago Bears.

Norwood, who already has sustained two concussions this season and missed a game recovering from the second one, walked slowly toward the tunnel with a hip flexor in the second quarter. He did not return for the start of the second half.

Norwood led the Falcons in rushing during the first half, carrying four times for 21 yards as Atlanta built a 14-7 lead.

The Falcons also lost backup safety William Moore to a hamstring injury and starting cornerback Brian Williams to a right knee injury in the second half. Williams walked slowly off the field but the team announced he would not return.

Chicago lost starting linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa to a knee injury in the second half. There was no immediate update on his status.
