Falcons’ Ryan to miss at least 1 game with injury
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan will miss this week’s game against Philadelphia with a turf toe injury.
Coach Mike Smith says Chris Redman, who took over for Ryan in Sunday’s 20-17 win over Tampa Bay, will start against the Eagles.
Redman’s last start came in the final game of the 2007 season.
Ryan injured his right big toe on the first series against the Buccaneers. Smith would not speculate on Ryan’s status beyond this week.
