CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Seattle Seahawks quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor has been hired as Virginia’s offensive coordinator.
New Cavaliers coach Mike London announced Lazor’s hiring Thursday.
Lazor has been the quarterbacks coach at Seattle for the last two seasons. Before that, he spent four years with the Washington Redskins — two as quarterbacks coach, two as an offensive assistant. He began his NFL career in 2003 as offensive quality control coach for Atlanta.
Lazor previously served nine years as a college assistant — seven at his alma mater, Cornell, and two as offensive coordinator at Buffalo. As a player, he set 26 school records for passing and total offense.
