Donald Butler For San Diego Chargers

SAN DIEGO (GaeaTimes.com)- Linebacker Donald Butler became the No.12 third round draft pick for the San Diego Chargers in the second day of the NFL Draft 2010. The San Diego Chargers seemed in a hurry to get the player in the team and without waiting for their turn, they moved up in the draft by trading two draft picks to the San Francisco 49ers. The San Diego Chargers traded a NFL Draft 2010 sixth round pick and 2011 fourth round pick to the San Francisco 49ers to get linebacker Donald Butler who was at the No. 12 of the Third Round. After the draft pick both the management and the player seemed elated by the move.

After receiving the phone call from the San Diego Chargers, an excited Donald Butler mentioned to the media that his dreams have come true. He told media sources that he has always wanted to play for San Diego Chargers. He praised the team as a great organization that will provide him with ample opportunity. Close to him home, Donald Butler could have not been happier than he seems to be at present. Donald Butler seemed confident and said that though he likes to play in the middle linebacker position, he is comfortable in all the four line backer positions. Donald Butler is ready to do whatever his new team asks him to.

On the side of the San Diego team, the trade that the team management did to acquire Donald Butler speaks volume about their opinion about the player. Jimmy Raye, the San Diego Chargers Director of Player Personnel mentioned that the team was eying some of the players and that it did not want to miss the opportunity to get them.
