ALLEN PARK (GaeaTimes.com)- The Detroit Lions on Saturday picked the last NFL draft Tim Toone. It is for the second time in the last four years that the team has gone to pick a last NFL draft but the coach and the management of the team is confident about the ability of Tim Toone and on Saturday marked him as the new hero of the Detroit Lions team. Tim Toone too asserted in front of the media that he will work hard to make a mark on the new team adding that he wants to be a benefit for the Detroit Lions team.

Though coming at No.255, Tim Toone was the Mr. Irrelevant of the year, there is no doubt that the Detroit Lions coach had many things working within his mind while he made the pick. Tim Toone has played a good football in the last two seasons. He had in the last two seasons caught 167 passes. The player is considered a good punt runner who has an average of 19.9 yards per return. Tim Toone has made 29 touchdown catches in his career. In his new team, Tim Toone will be playing a crucial role as a punt runner.

Tim Toone according to the coach of the Detroit Lions Jim Schwartz, has the capability to play not only as a punt runner but also as an outside receiver and slot receiver. The coach was all praise for the draft pick on Saturday. However, as of now being the Mr. Irrelevant of the year, Tim Toone will be honored by a group in Southern California as a part of the “Irrelevant Week” celebration that was introduced back in 1976. Tim Toone said that the experience will be a funny one.
