LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Jeannie Buss, the vice president of the Los Angeles Lakers and the long time girlfriend of Phil Jackson, the coach of the team, has recently hinted that he might not be returning to the team after this season. That is to say, that he might not be returning as the coach in 2011. Although she was not explicit in what she said, she surely gave enough hints for the listeners to guess something. However, Phil Jackson himself has not commented on this issue, but from what Jeannie Buss said, his mind seems to be set.

The comments were made by Jeannie Buss during the game of the Los Angeles Lakers against the Oklahoma City Thunders, to which she had accompanied her boyfriend to the Staples Center in Los Angeles. During the interview, she said that although this is the year that the contract between the Los Angeles Lakers and Phil Jackson runs through, this certainly would not be the last time that she would be accompanying him to a game. For, she said, the expiration of the contract with the Los Angeles Lakers does not mean that he would never be coaching a team again.

However, Jeanie Buss also assured that Phil Jackson would most likely be getting himself a new and great job soon after that, for, she asserted, he would simply get too bored living an inactive life.
