Teammate: Shockey hospitalized after seizure
METAIRIE, La. — New Orleans tight end Jeremy Shockey has been hospitalized after suffering what was later diagnosed as a seizure.
Saints safety Darren Sharper, who was with Shockey in the New Orleans’ weight room when it happened, says that Shockey is “doing fine.”
Sharper was seen at Ochsner Hospital where Shockey is being treated. Sharper says the seizure lasted about a minute and was “scary.”
Sharper says that Shockey told him that he “just felt light headed” and was able to walk on his own to an ambulance.
It was unclear how long Shockey would remain hospitalized.
