Serbia leads Germany 1-0 at halftime
PORT ELIZABETH, South Africa — Serbia goalkeeper Vladimir Stojkovic saved a 60th-minute penalty by Lukas Podolski to preserve his team’s 1-0 lead over 10-man Germany at the World Cup.
Stojkovic stopped the kick after Nemanja Vidic received a yellow card for a handball.
Miroslav Klose was sent off for a second yellow card for a rough tackle in the 37th minute of the Group D match and Serbia forward Milan Jovanovic scored a minute later with a side-foot shot from directly in front of goalkeeper Manual Neuer.
