LONDON - England defender Ashley Cole has been the target of vile abuse posted in the BBC’s Match of the Day Facebook page.

One called him an “ugly, jumped-up cock”, while others simply dubbed him a “c***” a ” w***er” and a “tw**.”

An Arsenal fan, referring to the 29-year-old’s decision to leave the Gunners for Chelsea in 2006, wrote: “JUDAAAAAAAS”.

Meanwhile, BBC chiefs are taking measures to stop the foul-mouthed fans, and are monitoring the page to ensure that the abuses are swiftly deleted.

Thousands of subscribers were also sent messages urging them to “respect others” when posting messages on the site, The Daily Star reports. (ANI)
