UFC 118 Results: Nate Diaz Defeats Marcus Davis

BOSTON (GaeaTimes.com)- The UFC 118 bout between Nate Diaz and Marcus Davis ended in a blood bath as both the fighters were seen soaked in own as well as each others blood. Nate Diaz emerged as the winner at the end of the entertaining clash as he held down Marcus Davis with a front guillotine. Opening the UFC 118 pay per view, the match proved to be great value for money for the action starved audience.

In the first round, Marcus Davis started off well with a hard left to Nate Diaz as the latter tried to taunt his opponent. The table turned too quickly and too early as Nate Diaz took control of the rest of the round. With a number of quick and hard punches, Nate Davis caused Marcus Davis to bleed heavily from a cut over his right eye. Marcus Davis did not look like he was going to hold o much longer after the first round. At the end of the round, the doctor checked him thoroughly but allowed the fight to continue. In the second round, Nate Diaz took the fight to the cage and both the fighters showed what they are known for in the UFC 118. They exchanged a number of punches at the center of the ring. Here Nate Diaz took the cake as he landed punches of better quality and quantity. By the end of the round, Marcus Davis looked barely fit to continue fighting.

At the start of the third round, people cold only bet on the minutes that Marcus Davis wold last in the round. Nate Diaz did not disappoint as he choked out the limping and battered Marcus Davis with a front guillotine to win his first fight in the UFC 118.
