San Francisco 49ers Wins Over Minnesota Vikings

SAN FRANCISCO (GaeaTimes.com)- At Sunday’s exhibition match between San Francisco 49ers and the Minnesota Vikings, the former defeated the latter with the scoreboards reading 15-10. While Bret Favre’s return to the field in the uniform of Minnesota Vikings failed to make much impact, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback Nate Davis came up with some good play along with others to win the game on Sunday. However, the exhibition game in overall was made exciting as both the teams tried their best to display some good play in the preseason.

For the San Francisco 49ers, Nate Davis went for a 60-yard pass to Ted Ginn Jr. in the third quarter. The pass eventually led to the 28-yard field goal done by Joe Nedney. The player later also went for the 18-yard completion to Nate Byham. San Francisco 49ers’s Anthony Dixon did not have a solid play but contributed to increase the team’ score early during the game. He tossed left at the Minnesota Viking’s 4-yard line and ran ahead of cornerbacks Allen Asher and Chris Cook to complete a touchdown. The move helped the San Francisco 49ers to move to 70 yards on 12 plays. The San Francisco 49ers‘ came up with some good defense work during the game and was able to thwart the attempts made by Bret Favre.

On the part of Minnesota Vikings, the team failed to perform well against the San Francisco 49ers. Bret Favre hit Adrian Peterson on a swing pass and gained 13-yard lead. However, linebacker Manny Lawson hit Adrian Peterson for a 3-yard loss. On second down, Bret Favre was sacked by linebacker Patrick Willis and in third down Albert Young carried a handoff for 9 yards. However, at the end it was San Francisco 49ers who were declared the winner of the night.
