LONDON - Former German tennis star Boris Becker has denied suggestions that he may become coach or advisor to Britain’s world No. 3 Andy Murray.ecker regularly practices at the National Tennis Centre at Roehampton, where Murray also works out when he is in Britain.

“It’s true I play there and see him, but there have been no discussions between us and no contact with his team, contrary to some suggestions,” the Daily Express quoted Becker, as saying.

“Although coaching is something I’d not rule out at a later date, there has been no association with Andy. We get on well with each other, and when we meet up we do talk tennis, but anything else is not on the agenda,” he added.

Earlier, it was reported that Becker had expressed a desire to revive British men’s tennis from its present dreadful state.

The 42-year-old has already held talks with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) about the possibility of him taking a prominent role in developing new stars in the country.

He is said to have expressed interest in the part-time role of men’s coach vacated by American Paul Annacone, who has left the LTA to work with Roger Federer. (ANI)
