Peters leads New Hampshire’s ground game in a 33-3 rout against Central Connecticut State

New Hampshire beats Central Connecticut St. 33-3
DURHAM, N.H. — Dontra Peters ran for 197 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead New Hampshire to an easy 33-3 win over Central Connecticut State in the season opener for both teams Saturday.
The Wildcats, who have won 10 straight games at home, scored on the game’s opening kickoff on Terrance Fox’s 91-yard touchdown return. Peters finished with 19 carries, scoring on runs of 47 and 15 yards to give New Hampshire a 19-0 lead with 10:22 left in the second quarter.
Chris Setian added 71 yards rushing on 10 carries for New Hampshire, which dominated on the ground with 313 yards on 45 rushing attempts. The Wildcats held the Blue Devils to 220 yards on offense.
R.J. Toman, who completed 9 of 15 passes, threw for 84 yards and a 3-yard touchdown pass to Chris Jeannot for New Hampshire.
Gunnar Jespersen threw for 129 yards and one interception for Central Connecticut State.
