Tide’s Ingram not dressed out for Penn State game
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram was not in uniform for the second straight week for No. 1 Alabama.
Ingram was on the field before Saturday night’s game with No. 18 Penn State, watching the other running backs warm up. He wore sweats and a jersey.
Ingram also missed the opener against San Jose State after having arthroscopic surgery on his left knee four days earlier for a practice injury.
Coach Nick Saban said earlier in the week that Ingram could have recovered enough to play but he didn’t want to put a player on the field without sufficient practice time.
