Michigan St. assistant says Dantonio doing better
EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State offensive coordinator Don Treadwell says coach Mark Dantonio is “doing better and better” as he recovers from last weekend’s heart attack.
Treadwell is preparing to take over Dantonio’s coaching duties when the No. 25 Spartans host Northern Colorado on Saturday.
He met with reporters Tuesday and provided a brief update on Dantonio, who was hospitalized shortly after Saturday night’s overtime win over Notre Dame. Treadwell said he’s not sure when the coach will be released, but that he’s “definitely moving in that direction.”
Treadwell is in his seventh season on the Michigan State staff. He has been the offensive coordinator since 2007.
