2012 Super Bowl organizers moving ahead with plans
INDIANAPOLIS — Organizers say they don’t expect the NFL’s uncertain labor situation to delay the 2012 Super Bowl in Indianapolis.
Host committee chairman Mark Miles said Thursday that plans are moving ahead as if the game will be played on Feb. 5, 2012, in Lucas Oil Stadium as scheduled.
Committee officials acknowledged last month they had made contingency plans in case owners lock out the players before the start of next season. The NFL Players Association’s director fears that’s what the owners are planning.
