Titans place Morgan on IR, add DT Amon Gordon
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans have placed top draft pick Derrick Morgan on injured reserve and replaced the defensive end with defensive tackle Amon Gordon.
Coach Jeff Fisher announced Monday that Morgan, the 16th overall pick out of Georgia Tech, had torn his left anterior cruciate ligament. With defensive end Jacob Ford and tackle Sen’Derrick Marks also having injured knees, the Titans quickly signed Gordon Tuesday.
The tackle played for Tennessee in 2008, first on the practice squad in November and was active for the final two games of the season. He also has been with Seattle, New England, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Denver and Cleveland.
They added tight end-fullback Joel Gamble to their practice squad and released Jack Corcoran.
