CWG women’s hockey: Scotland beat Trinidad and Tobago

NEW DELHI -Scotland helped themselves to a 6-1 win against Trinidad and Tobago to notch their first win in three matches of the womens hockey competition at the Commonwealth Games here Thursday.

After restricting the Scots to just two goals in the first-half, Trinidad and Tobago defence crumbled on resumption to let in four more and the islanders crashed to their third consecutive defeat.

Leading the Scots, who had drawn 1-1 with India and lost 1-2 to South Africa, were Nikki Kidd (2), Alison Bell (2), Linda Clement and Holly Cram.

Trinidad and Tobago scored their first goal of the tournament in the last minute when Charlene Williams pushed home a cross from Stacey Ann Siu-Butt.
