LONDON - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger claims that his team’s late victory against West Ham United shows that they need to rise another level to win the Premier League title.

A brilliant header by Alex Song in the final minutes of the game made sure that Arsenal would keep championship leaders Chelsea under pressure.

The Gunners stay second in the table on 20 points, trailing five points behind Chelsea and three points ahead from 4th-placed Manchester City.

“We have a good chance for the title, yes, but we want to show consistency first. We go step by step and we still need to step up a gear to completely achieve that,” the Sun quoted Wenger, as saying.

“There is more to come out from this team. We have good potential on the bench today and some players to come back. If can keep a good injury record then we have a chance,” he added.

The manager admitted that it is too early in the season to make predictions, but said that he has ‘belief’ in his team.

“We need to show from game to game we can handle every single game with a different aspect which the Premier League has - today we played against the team bottom of the league and it was a real battle,” Wenger said. (ANI)
