LONDON - Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp wants his players to believe in themselves and be true champions ahead of their crucial clash with Chelsea.

The Tottenham manager is rapidly changing the mindset at the club and sees tomorrow’s clash against Chelsea as a chance for the club to become genuine challengers.

Redknapp was resting at home with a bug on Friday, but his assistant Joe Jordan spoke of how Harry is working his magic, The Sun reports.

Jordan said: “Harry thinks this team has the potential to win the Premier League. Over the last few weeks he’s touched on that in the dressing room. You have players who have won titles elsewhere but it’s about doing it together here for a first time.”

“It is not easy and there are clubs up there like Manchester United and Chelsea who have had that gap in their history when it was a long time since they won a major championship. United for so many years didn’t win it. Chelsea from the 50s to Mourinho didn’t, then they went back-to-back,” he said.

“Once you’ve broken that barrier, things change. It’s not about belief any more - you’ve proved it,” he added. (ANI)
