Witter ready for ‘Battle of Britain’ clash with Amir Khan

LONDON - Former WBC world light-welterweight champion Junior Witter has said that he is ready and willing to accept WBA World super lightweight champion Amir Khan’s title challenge.
Khan is still searching for an opponent to face in Manchester on April 16, and his management has been in contact with Team Witter.
“My manager John Ingle spoke to me about the Khan offer and I’m up for it 100 per cent. It would be an opportunity too good to turn down fighting for a world title again,” the Sun quoted Witter, as saying.
“Khan, you have never boxed anyone with my experience, calibre and credentials. All I can say is be careful if you want to start playing with fire because you might get burnt,” he added.
The 36-year-old is currently scheduled to face Victor Puiu in a welterweight clash later this month. (ANI)
