Hunter leaves game after running into wall
SAN FRANCISCO — Torii Hunter has left the Los Angeles Angels’ game against San Francisco after crashing into the outfield wall trying to catch a double by Bengie Molina in the fourth inning.
Hunter was swarmed by trainers, teammates and manager Mike Scioscia when he was injured and was down for several minutes before getting up on his own. The center fielder appeared to hurt his right rib cage area, which he grabbed while walking in with the help of the training staff. Gary Matthews Jr. replaced him.
