Marcus Thornton: Getting Better With Time

One striking difference between Marcus Thornton and Courtney Lee is Thornton’s ability to shoot from every angle in the court and end it with a strong basket. But with Lee it is his skill of playing as a wing defender. Marcus is average when it comes to defending skills. Though 6 feet 3.75 inches, he has never been considered a liability in his team and is truly better than average. He is said to never compromise on his competitive attitude. He has been playing as a good college player and in an interview he mentioned that, “I’m not going to give up at all, I just see myself as an overall player who will do what it takes to win the game”. That’s the kind of commitment you can expect from Marcus Thornton for whom it is his dream to play in the NBA.

Marcus is getting favorable feedback from the New Orleans Hornets team now and was a name in the LSU Tiger basketball team.

It is being said that he will improve on his skills if he stays with other efficient and mature players and he really doesn’t mind doing that as he confesses that he is a competitor and would want to play along with the best players of the team. Marcus has shown his capability and toughness when his team was in shambles. As a key driving force of the team he led Tigers to a 27-8 overall record which was commendable for a team whose players could not correlate to each others activities. With a sense of rigor and ability he is surely headed to make it to the NBA.
