Portland outfielder Chad Huffman wins Triple-A All-Star Home Run Derby, edges Yankees’ Duncan

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Triple-A All-Star Home Run Derby has been won by Portland Beavers outfielder Chad Huffman, who hit five shots in the final round.
Huffman has captured Monday night’s event by edging Shelley Duncan of the Scanton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees, who connected for one homer in the last round.
Huffman, a second-round pick by the San Diego Padres in 2006, leads the Beavers with 12 home runs and 42 RBIs this season.
Duncan, who hit a combined eight homers for the New York Yankees in 2007 and ‘08, leads the International League with 21 home runs and 69 RBIs.
Huffman finished the three-round competition with 15 home runs. Duncan hit 10.
