Georgia’s Landers signs 3-year extension
ATHENS, Ga. — Andy Landers will remain the Georgia women’s basketball coach for three more years.
Landers has been the Georgia coach since 1979, and is now signed through the 2013-14 season.
With Landers, Georgia is one of only four schools in the country to have a winning record in all 28 seasons since women’s basketball became an NCAA sport in 1981-82.
Athletic director Damon Evans praised Landers for his “outstanding” dedication to the program.
Landers inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007 and the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in 2009.
