Hudson injures groin before start
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Tim Hudson’s comeback has suffered a setback.
The Atlanta Braves’ right-hander was scratched from his second injury rehabilitation game with Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday night after mildly straining his groin while warming up for his scheduled start against Rochester. He will be evaluated by the Braves’ medical staff in Atlanta on Saturday.
“I’m thankful it’s not my arm,” he said.
Hudson is returning from elbow ligament-replacement surgery on Aug. 8, 2008. He pitched four scoreless innings for Gwinnett against Lehigh Valley on Monday night.
