Browns not interested in Vick

BEREA, Ohio — Scratch the Cleveland Browns off the list of possible suitors for Michael Vick.

Browns coach Eric Mangini said Saturday that his team has no interest in signing Vick, the former Atlanta Falcons star quarterback who served 18 months in prison for running a dogfighting ring. Mangini said he’s happy with quarterbacks Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson, who will wage a quarterback competition this summer to be Cleveland’s starter.

Mangini, in his first season as Cleveland’s coach, wouldn’t say if he thought Vick would be a distraction if he signed with another NFL team.

Vick was conditionally reinstated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell earlier this week. Several teams have said they have no intention of signing the three-time Pro Bowler.
