Murray St. beats Kentucky Wesleyan 66-10
MURRAY, Ky. — Charlie Jordan ran for two touchdowns and Jeff Ehrhardt threw for two more to lead Murray State past Kentucky Wesleyan 66-10 on Thursday night.
Jordan rushed for 116 yards and Ehrhardt was 10 of 18 passing for 138 yards for the Racers (1-0), who have outscored the Division II Panthers (0-2) 119-10 in the teams’ two meetings.
The Racers outgained the Panthers 316-164 and capitalized on four Kentucky Wesleyan turnovers.
Murray State jumped out to a 15-0 lead in the first after Harry McCall’s 50-yard fumble return and field goals of 27 and 40 yards by Kienan Cullen.
Thomas Gordon’s 11-yard touchdown run pulled the the Panthers to within 15-7 in the second. The Racers then scored 30 unanswered points, including touchdowns of 2 and 7 yards by Jordan.
Marcus Harris scored on a kick return of 86 yards and a punt return of 75 yards for the Racers.
