Louisville slogs past Indiana State 30-10
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Victor Anderson ran for 93 yards and two touchdowns to lead Louisville to a 30-10 victory over Indiana State on Saturday night in the Cardinals’ season opener.
Louisville quarterback Justin Burke, making his first start since his senior year of high school, completed 17 of 31 passes for 223 yards and two interceptions.
Chris Stutzriem ran for a 3-yard touchdown to give Indiana State (0-2) an early 7-3 lead, but the Cardinals dominated the last three quarters to send the Sycamores to their 28th straight loss.
Louisville’s defense held Indiana State — a member of the Football Championship Subdivision — to 101 yards of total offense and forced four turnovers.
