Elon beats Presbyterian 41-7
CLINTON, S.C. — Scott Riddle was 25-for-36 with 346 passing yards, including four touchdowns in Elon’s 41-7 win over Presbyterian on Saturday.
The Phoenix (2-1) defeated Presbyterian (1-2) for the sixth-straight time and has outscored the Blue Hose 107-19 during their last two meetings.
Elon outgained Presbyterian 614-91 in offensive yards as the Blue Hose managed just two rushing yards.
The Phoenix had two 100-yard rushers as Jamal Shuman carried the ball 26 times for 190 yards and A.J. Harris had 114 yards on 19 carries.
Elon’s Terrell Hudgins moved closer to several Football Championship Subdivision career receiving records, catching 11 passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Hudgins is 17 catches and 786 yards shy of records in both categories.
Sean Adegbola scored the lone touchdown for the Blue Hose on a 28-yard pass from Tim Webb.
